ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Björn’s Close depicts a truly tender, emotional moment shared between four Zebra’s in the region of Masai Mara. 

Björn says he intentionally looks for exceptionally emotional and present interactions between animals to capture the gentle and slow moments shared in the wild. Whilst many wildlife photographs often depict the predatory nature of these creatures, Björn strives to showcase the rich social life these animals share, “closing the gap between animal and human”.
